Workers and their pensions
Encouraging individuals to invest in their future is key. But with so many different types of pension schemes and providers out there, it can be hard to know which way to turn. Pension legislation is evolving to help individuals access their pension funds more easily and invest in their future. But just how clued up is the UK population on pensions and how they work?
We carried out a study with YouGov to explore employee attitudes towards pensions and investments to better understand financial capability in the workplace. The survey, which we carried out in December 2017, represented 1,141 adults aged 18+ currently working in full or part time work.
It revealed an overwhelming number of employees had a lack of understanding of pensions and investments and highlighted the lack of pension education in the workplace. View the findings below:
